The NOLA Tours Perspective: There are a hundred ways to tour New Orleans. Most of them pick one thing: food, ghosts, or nightlife. We work at the intersection of history, architecture, and culture, because in this city, you can’t separate them. The building explains who built it. The people explain the neighborhood. The neighborhood explains the city. Our tours follow those connections.

I'm not an architect. Will I still enjoy this tour?
You do not need to be an architect to enjoy the tour. You don’t have to have any specialized skills. We talk about how history and architecture intersect to tell the stories of the people who lived here. Expect to learn some new vocabulary and new ways to describe your favorite buildings in New Orleans! Here is a timeline of New Orleans buildings to get you familiar.
What happens if it rains?
We walk rain or shine. New Orleans weather is part of the story, and a little rain never stopped a good tour. If conditions become truly dangerous (thunder, lightning, or flooding), we’ll reach out to reschedule or refund your booking. Bring an umbrella and comfortable shoes, and you’ll be fine.
How much walking is involved?
Our tours cover about 1 to 1.5 miles over two hours, with plenty of stops along the way. The pace is conversational, not athletic. If you can handle a casual stroll with some standing, you’ll do great.
Can kids come?
Kids are welcome, and they often surprise us. They’re the ones who spot the gargoyles, count the columns, and ask the questions the rest of us are too shy to ask. We recommend ages 8 and up for the best experience, but you know your kids best.

Each tour has a specific meeting point. When you book, your confirmation email will include the exact address and a link to the map. If you need help finding us on tour day, just call or text and we’ll point you in the right direction.
