New Orleans Architecture Tours seeks to bring guests through different neighborhoods to learn about how various cultures shape the buildings which in turn shape the community.
I founded this company after being a guide for 2 years. I realized as I started adding details about the stunning architecture to my standard Garden District Tour, that before long I had a full tour of material that would not only tell this history of the neighborhood but also allow the buildings to tell their story. They are all special – from the tiny Creole Cottages in the French Quarter to the grand antebellum mansions Uptown. Even the block full of seemingly ordinary ranch homes in the Garden District has a tale to tell.
We know that there are many tour companies operating in New Orleans and we appreciate the chance to show you something a little different!

Just finished an almost 2-hour tour with our guide, Katrina. From the start it’s apparent that she truly has a passion for NOLA history and architecture. She did a great job explaining not only the history of various houses/cemeteries, but made connections with present-day NOLA. She spent time debunking widespread myths like why we have above-ground cemeteries (it’s NOT just b/c of the water table!) and had cool tidbits like which celebrities currently live in the Garden District. She even changed up the tour so I could learn the history about the house used for American Horror Story! If you have any real interest in learning more about the Garden District’s history, I totally recommend this tour as part of a chill Sunday Funday. Grab some water and walk around with a historian who really knows her stuff!D.J. – TripAdvisor
We hired New Orleans Architecture tours to visit the French Quarter with some of our customers. Things could not have gone any better. Katrina was AMAZING and our customers loved the entire experience – They actually described it as the best part of their entire trip! Katrina is not only fun and easy going, but is also very knowledgeable about New Orleans and made sure everyone one felt comfortable throughout the tour – It’s not easy to go around the French Quarter with 25 people and make them all feel important, but she did it! I would highly recommend New Orleans Architecture Tours to anyone!Allesandra I. – TripAdvisor

Katrina was really excellent. Passionate about her life in New Orleans and with a deep interest in history and architecture. Very passionate about sharing that knowledge. Very informative, articulate, relaxed and willing to patiently answer all of our questions as well. Recommended and keep up the great work Katrina!
This was my first time in New Orleans and I’m so glad we decided to take the Garden District Tour. This was the best part of my trip! Katrina is very knowledgeable about the area and architecture of the buildings. The cemetery part of the tour was unexpectedly fascinating. Katrina’s easy-going, fun personality was the icing on the cake! I highly recommend New Orleans Architecture Tours to anyone!Joanne C. – TripAdvisor
This was the only tour that we could find focused on architecture, and thank God it was! Could not have asked for a better tour or guide. Thank you Katrina!jz116 – TripAdvisor
It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and it would have been a shame to stay inside. A friend had mentioned this tour recently and I figured even though I’ve lived in the city for seven years there was plenty I still didn’t know. Sure enough I had a lovely walk around the Garden District neighborhood and discovered all manner of hidden gems and architectural history of which I wasn’t previously aware. I recommend even to locals.Matte C. – TripAdvisor
